Late marriage in the kundli — what a delay actually is

Published: 24 October 2026 · Acharya Krishna Kant Shrimukh Shandilya Ji Maharaj · 7 min read
Late marriage is the name families use when a daughter is twenty-eight, or a son is thirty-two, and the house has started to speak as if a planet were blocking the door. They have already been told three things. Saturn on the seventh means the wedding will not happen. Rahu means a love affair and therefore no arranged match. A dosh must be removed before anyone will agree. I am writing this on 24 October 2026, from Sultanpur. None of those three is a reading. A delay is a description of time. It is not a moral sentence, and it is not a lock.
If you want that time looked at, send on WhatsApp the birth date, the birth time, and the town. If a match is already in hand, send both charts. Say whether the time is exact or remembered. I am in Sultanpur. There is no fee on this page, and no promise that a wedding will be fixed in a season I name.
What people mean by late
In a Sultanpur lane, late often means past the age the cousins married. In a Delhi flat it means the job has not settled. In a Dubai share-room it means the family at home has stopped sending proposals. The word is social. The chart does not contain your cousin’s wedding year. When I say delay, I mean something narrower: the seventh house, its lord, and the dasha now running do not show a marriage season in the months the family has circled. That can be true at twenty-five and untrue at thirty-five. Age is not a graha.
Saturn on the seventh, or aspecting it, is the line most reports print first. Saturn can slow a matter. Saturn can also describe a person who marries and then takes the household as a duty, which looks strict to relatives who wanted a quick charm. I will not call every Saturn a late-marriage yog. I look at whether Saturn’s own dasha or transit is pressing that house in the years you are asking about. A transit is a season. It is not a personality you must apologise for.
Rahu is the second printed culprit. Rahu in the seventh can describe an unusual match, a foreign city, a restlessness. It does not mean the person is unfit for an arranged introduction, and it does not mean a love relationship is compulsory. A separate article on this site is how love and arranged charts are actually matched. The method does not change because the family is impatient.
The seventh house is the question
The seventh is the spouse as a life, not a date on a card. Its lord shows where that matter sits in the chart: in a kendra it is visible and often earlier in the speech of the life; in a dusthana it may be tangled with work, health of the household, or distance. I say ‘may’. A single placement is not a verdict. The navamsa, if the birth time can bear a division, tells me whether the finer chart agrees. If the time is ‘evening’ or ‘around eight’, I will not pretend the navamsa is sharp. Tell me the softness. A wrong time produces a confident lie.
The dasha is the clock I trust more than the internet’s yog. A dasha of the seventh lord, or of Venus, often coincides with marriage. It also coincides with a job, a move, or a season of wanting partnership without a wedding. I will not say the dasha forces a card. I will say whether the next two or three years are a season in which marriage is one of the things the chart is willing to host. If they are not, the honest sentence is that the family’s hurry and the chart’s season are different. You may still marry. The chart is not a court that forbids it. It is a bad servant if you ask it to bless a lie about timing.
Mangal has its own article. Pitra and Kaal Sarp have theirs. People throw those words at a delayed wedding because the words sound like causes. A dosh, where it is really present, is one factor. It is not the reason a proposal was rude, or a job shifted cities, or two families could not agree on a date. I will count Mangal if it is there. I will not sell a shanti as the removal of delay. Shanti settles a rite. It does not purchase a spouse.
What a solution looks like
The solution is not a gemstone and not a Tuesday fast invented last week. The solution is a reading that separates three piles. First, what the chart itself shows about the seventh and the dasha. Second, what is simply life: studies, a transfer, a parent’s illness, a person who has not yet said yes. Third, what fear has added: a neighbour’s comment, an app’s paragraph, a dosh name used as an insult. I can do the first pile. You already know the second. The third should be put down.
If the dasha is not a marriage season, the practical step is to stop calling every month a failure. Keep living. If a proposal comes, match that chart instead of matching the delay. A late chart and a willing person are not enemies. If the dasha is open and still nothing moves, look at the proposals themselves: birth times missing, ages hidden, a family that says yes on the phone and no in the lane. That is not Saturn. Bring me the charts that were refused. Often the refusal was a score, and the score was one koota, and the koota was explained by nobody.
Write on WhatsApp when you have the birth time in one message, not in a week of fragments. Date, time, town. If there is a match, both. Say your age only so I do not guess it. I do not need a photograph. I do not need the story of every proposal. One sentence on whether you want an arranged introduction, have already chosen someone, or are only asking about your own timing.
What I will not promise
I will not promise a marriage in six months, or before a sibling, or before a parent’s health changes. I will not promise a child after the wedding. I will not promise that a shanti removes the delay. I will not name a stone, a shop, or a price. Dakshina, if you want a sitting, is spoken before the call. I am in Sultanpur. Travel when a date is fixed, a sitting in India, and a live link are the three forms. A delayed wedding is not an emergency product.
If someone is being pressed to marry against their will, or is unsafe, the chart is the wrong tool. Say no in ordinary language. Do not wait for me to find a dosh large enough to justify the no. The no is allowed to be yours.
Questions people ask
Does Saturn on the seventh mean I will never marry?
No. It can slow the matter or make the marriage a serious house. It is not a lock. The dasha still has to be read.
Can a puja end the delay?
A rite can be kept if the family already keeps it. It does not buy a spouse and it does not remove a graha. Shanti is settling, not a result.
What should I send for a reading?
Birth date, time, and town. Both charts if a person is already in view. Say if the time is approximate. WhatsApp is enough. I am in Sultanpur.
Is late marriage a dosh?
Delay is a word about time. A dosh is a different label, and even a real dosh is not the whole chart. One label is not a verdict.
If you want the timing read
This page is about late marriage as a chart question, not as a curse. I am Acharya Krishna Kant. The sittings people know this site for are close to twenty years, in and from Sultanpur. Send the birth details on WhatsApp if you want the seventh and the dasha described. There is no package and no promised month. The reading will tell you what the chart shows. The wedding, if it comes, will still be your life and not my sentence.
Share the service and a preferred date. You will get a WhatsApp message to confirm. No account needed.
